Pipe trades apprentices from across Ohio are showing their skills at the 2019 Ohio State Pipe Trades Competition.

The Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 219 JATC is hosting this year’s three-day competition in Akron, presented by the Ohio State Association of the Union of Plumbers, Pipefitters, Steamfitters, Sprinkler Fitters and Service Technicians.

During the rigorous contest, pipe trades apprentices demonstrate what they’ve learned in their JATC training programs. Industry judges evaluate each apprentice’s mastery of every aspect of the pipe trades which apprentices are likely to encounter on job sites.

From the members, board, and staff of ACT Ohio and the Ohio State Building and Construction Trades Council – best luck to all of the Ohio State Pipe Trades Apprentices competing this week!
