The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 6 is launching a statewide “Potential Members Showcase” Apprentice Recruitment Campaign across Ohio this March.

“If you’re ready to shape your career, build your confidence and take control of your future – we should talk,” said Jim Sherwood, Business Manager and Secretary/Treasurer of IUPAT DC6. “Our members enjoy training, benefits, and a pension with no college debt – and you have a job while we train you, so you earn while you learn!”

Contractors will be on hand to discuss open positions with journeymen looking for employment for allied trades.

Potential apprentices can operate virtual simulations of each skilled trade and learn how to apply for careers as:

  • painters,
  • glaziers,
  • glass workers,
  • drywall finishers,
  • sign and display workers,
  • decorators,
  • fabricators,
  • industrial painters, and
  • allied skilled tradespeople.
