This week Ohio Department of Transportation Director Jerry Wray indicated that the state may alter the planned delays to some road and bridge construction projects around the state. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that there was significant backlash among local officials unhappy about delayed building projects.

Director Wary said that public safety and other criteria will be added to the factors under consideration in deciding the roll out of projects. Road, bridge and other infrastructure projects were significantly cut by the state budget bill signed into law by Republic Governor John Kasich last year.
