Construction Industry Unemployment Rate Fell in February

The construction industry unemployment rate fell slightly last month according to the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The unemployment rate fell to 17.1 percent from 17.7 percent in March. Both the residential and nonresidential building construction sectors added about 2,000 jobs in February.

Federal Judge to Consider Challenge to Indiana’s “So Called Right to Work” Law

United States District Judge Philip has been asked to block the implementation of Indian’s new controversial “So Called Right to Work” legislation. A hearing will be held March 5th on the legislation.
Judge Philip asked Indiana’s Republican Governor Mitch Daniels and other backers of the anti-worker legislation to submit briefs supporting their case that the legislation is constitutional.
