Members of ACT Ohio and the Ohio State Building and Construction Trades stand with the Dayton Building and Construction Trades Council and call on our members and supporters across the state to contribute to speed recovery in affected counties.

According to Dayton BCTC Director John Hayes, people in the region are in desperate need of the following donations:

  • Baby supplies (diapers, baby wipes, formula)
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Toiletries
  • Financial contributions – EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR YOU CAN SPARE MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Generous tradespeople and Building Trades supporters in the public and private sectors, you can provide critical help to the victims of these deadly storms!

Please send your donations to:

Dayton Building and Construction Trades Council

Dayton, Ohio 45403.

Please write donation checks out to Dayton Building & Construction Trades Council with a memo designating Dayton Tornado Relief.

Mr. Hayes’ full call to action for Building Trades members across Ohio:

By now I’m sure that everyone has seen or heard of the widespread destruction that hit the Dayton and surrounding area on Memorial Day. Pictures do not do show the true destruction that it created. By the grace of God, only one death has been attributed to these tornadoes (another is pending). While the loss of life is minimal the loss of so many people’s life possessions and total disruption of their lives for years to come is devastating.

The Dayton Building Trades has so many members that have been affected by this, but true to the Union Brotherhood they have been volunteering to help others. The Dayton Building Trades has established a protocol to get into the affected communities to help by bringing to the folks needed supplies and by serving meals in the areas.

We are in need of any help that we can get. Any donations that our brothers, sisters and labor partners can do to help will be so greatly appreciated. We are in need of baby supplies feminine hygiene supplies, toiletries etc. Money donations are needed to purchase food for the members to cook and serve to the people of the neighborhood, the volunteers working, and all who show up to help.

All donations can be sent to my office: 1200 E. Second St. Dayton, Ohio 45403. All checks should be made out to Dayton Building & Construction Trades Council with a memo or note designating Tornado Relief. Any and all help will be so appreciated!

Thank You!!
